This week is Food Allergy Awareness Week and Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) has issued a fun challenge:

“FARE is launching an inaugural challenge for all of America to eat a top 9 allergen free meal or one full day. To raise awareness and deepen the public’s understanding of food allergy.”

Lucky for all of you I have just what you need and MORE to succeed at this challenge. The Spellbook is a culmination of over 20 years of trying and testing recipes that worked for my entire family.   The goal was to serve one tasty meal that would be safe for multiple allergens.  What does the Spellbook contain?

I have created two versions of my Spellbook. One is geared for 1-2 persons and the other is a 4 person version.  The Spellbook is not only timely for this FARE Top 9 Free Challenge but it is also great resource for inspiration when cooking from home.

This week, I am highlighting my homemade Taco Salad that not only is packed with flavor but looks amazing.  The zip of taco meat base mixed crisp lettuce, tomatoes and allergen friendly cheese is a top choice for a family friendly meal.  Click here for a quick beef taco base or you can substitute beans for a vegetarian version.
